Just helping you to make an informed decision as BF is just a week away with typically all time low prices. Might help a few peeps to save an extra $25 to keep an eye out for the Husky. Don't think you'll need a time machine to get through the next few weeks...
Attached light , couple drawers for storage, 3 outlets and a peg board. Same price
Edit: this is not a comparison to deal post. More of a suitable soldering station / tinkering work bench. Top of harbor freight is only rated for 220lbs .

Rubber wood is the most common material used for mid to low range furniture. Usually they use veneers. Curious to see if this is actually a full plank of rubber wood.

From the pictures it looks like solid planks edge-glued together. My parents had a rubberwood dining table for many years of similar construction that was very durable. They only sold it when they moved to a smaller place.
I mean this isn't bad but I've seen 72" desk shell of laminated wood at staples for this price. I would look around or wait until Black Friday. No sense in jumping the gun when it's a few days awat
Anyone had experience with this "rubber wood top"? Very interesting
As UniqueMice said, rubber wood is quite commonly used. It's not maple or oak, but it's reasonably dense and strong, much more so than the various pine woods. Rubber wood is used for most of the Husky and Kobalt branded workbenches, likely for others as well. My Kobalt workbench with rubberwood surface has lasted 6+ years.
