Yes, switches in general can be connected one after the other. If you're talking about the Poe aspect that will only be available to devices directly plugged into this switch.

Can you daisy chain these? Dumb question but I only need a couple ports for POE cameras. And have another switch for non powered purposes.

Not bad... don't really need it now but if it falls to $35 (or less) again then I'll probably buy.

Looks like a lot of their Netgear switches around sale. I bought several of these managed, five port, POE+ switches and they're very handy. I got them for about 10 bucks cheaper than this.

It looks like the price has historically fluctuated between ~$50 and $40 around this time last year with an all-time low of $35 on Dec 18, 2021. Like an above commenter, I'll wait to see if it falls any lower in the coming weeks.

For sure. Just don't creat a loop or your network will stop working.

I don't know about the latest, but the ubiquitous (excuse the pun) UAP-AC-HD lists a max power consumption of 17W so you can run 3 of those comfortably with this switch, 4 if you want to risk it (since it's unlikely all APs will be drawing max power at the same time).

I'm guessing newer Ubiquiti APs will be similar in power consumption/not too far off so my guess is that you could run 2-3 of those APs on this switch conservatively.

You may be thinking of the variants that don't have PoE and may or may not be managed (w/ more ports), e.g. GS305, GS308E, etc.

Too bad none of their larger poe switches (24+ ports) are on sale.

Dumb question but aim not super tech savy. Does having multiple hardwired cables plugged into this slow down my processing speeds for both connections since now there are multiple hard wired connections, or the speeds should be the same for all connections with this port? I do have premium internet 1000 download. I remember my cable guy telling me I'm only going to get the 1k download with my fiber internet from the direct hard-wired cord. Any help appreciated
