I have no clue about this 1 dollar deal....can you explain...barely got a an Xbox series for my son ...was going to just buy the 100 dollar Xbox gift card Costco has for 90 bucks ...but I'm just hearing about this stackable membership and getting GPU to expire or somewhat
If you don't know much about Game Pass, do yourself a favor and do some research about the different plans (there's 3 of them). There's also Xbox Live Gold, which is needed for playing online multiplayer games (excluding free to play ones like Fortnite).

If you don't know much about Game Pass, do yourself a favor and do some research about the different plans (there's 3 of them). There's also Xbox Live Gold, which is needed for playing online multiplayer games (excluding free to play ones like Fortnite).

WRONG. It's when you add up to 3 years of Xbox Live Gold to your Xbox account (can't have had an active Gamepass subscription before) and you can convert for $1 to Game Pass Ultimate in a 1 to 1 basis. I did it 3.5 years ago, let my Gamepass subscription expire, then a month ago bought three years of gold, and then (because I had already had Gamepass in the past) had to buy a month of Gamepass Ultimate (bought a Code for like $3) and I got 3 years of Gamepass ultimate for about $150
I was simply answering someone's question about the $1 trial offer. That person probably doesn't even know what Game Pass is. And the trial offer can be done totally separate from stacking GPU. If someone just wants to try out Game Pass, no point in spending money for 3 years of it.
Also you are WRONG about "can't have had an active Gamepass subscription before". You can have an existing Game Pass for Xbox or PC sub and upgrade / convert to Ultimate.

This deal:
1. Ok deal, cost is about $8 per month
2. CDKeys does not use stolen credit cards to buy these and then resell them to you. The credit card company would cancel the sale and then MS would cancel the key. Looking at history on this site CDkeys has been around a long time and the most common complaint is the key has been used, but from comments they seem to get those folks new keys pretty quickly. Pay with a credit card/PayPal you should be good.
Gamepass Ultimate FAQ
1. Cheapest reliable way to get it is and has always been to stack Xbox gold, even at full price ($60/year = $5/month) up to 3 years max can be stacked. If you have GPU right now, you need to let it expire first.
2. Then you get/buy 1 month of game pass ultimate which will convert all of your gold time to GPU for whatever you paid for the month of GPU. MS may offer you a deal for $1 for 1-3 months of GPU (this is typically for those brand new to GPU, but quite a few folks have reported getting it again after letting it expire), you can buy a month at full price ($14.99), or any other month deal you can find between. Trials (typically 1-2 weeks worth) won't work for the conversion.
3. Once you have GPU you can either extend it with deals like this (likely to be legit retailers if you just don't want to deal with CDkeys with prices close to or beating this on BF) or you can let it run out and start over at step one to maximize savings.
4. ymmv - MS may offer a free month of whatever prepaid code you are adding if you turn on recurring billing. You must turn it off before entering the code to be offered the deal, and then not everyone is offered. You can turn it off between each code to get additional free months. Again this is ymmv.

As far as I can tell, it doesn't matter if you have had an active Gamepass sub before as long as your ultimate has expired when you try to do this. My Ultimate expires on the 26th so I'll be doing this soon. Just have to find the best deal on 3 years of Gold first.
