My rule when buying flashlights: quality instead of quantity, it'll always last longer. There are cheap and extremely well-made (almost bifl quality) flashlights out there, just gotta do your research. This isn't one of them.

I have one of these. Wouldn't call $7.67 a deal. It's just a cheap plastic flashlight. Does what it's supposed to do. You could probably find something comparable for $5.
