Sign up for their rewards/perks and do their ways to earn for an extra $11 off. Hell of a deal
The knife's design, aesthetics, ergonomics, blade steel quality, blade geometry, locking mechanism, ease of deployment, fidget factor / ease of closing, quality of craftsmanship, handle material used, hardware material, ease of sharpening, how long the blade's sharpness lasts before it dulls and you have to sharpen it again, dependability / durability, warranty, country of origin, overall size and weight / how easy it is EDC, all factor into what makes a knife worth $100+, $200+, $300+, and beyond.
I own tons of knives from tons of brands and designers, made in U.S., Taiwan, China, Japan, Italy, Russia, etc. At the end of the day, worth is subjective and knives are just cutting tools. But a high quality knife can last much longer than cheap knives, and they usually look and feel much better.
For anyone wanting the $11 off. I'll explain it further since it wasn't explained well previously. This was all done on PC, not mobile, although I'm sure you can do it there as well. You have to first join the DLT rewards program. Once that is done, add the item to cart. On the cart screen there will be an icon on the bottom left of the screen that reads DLT rewards, click it. This will bring up a small menu. You then need to click on the tasks listed, sharing or following on various social media sites to earn the required amount of points necessary to get the $11 off. You have to have a minimum of 800 points to redeem for cash off. The initial sign up nets you 500 points with the rest coming from the tasks listed above. Enjoy your $11 off!

Very popular and now iconic knife - most modern collectors probably have one of these. Quality steel, G10 scales are nice. The compression lock makes it fun to open and close so the fidget factor is high. It is uncomfortable to grip and use hard for a long period of time.
If I didn't already have a Paramilitary 2 with M4 DLC coated blade and custom Fat Carbon scales, I would be all over this deal. I also have a Benchmade Bugout in S90V, so I don't need this knife. But those knives costed me so much more than this S90V Paramilitary 2. Killer deal for a quality, time-tested, popular pocketknife that has an awesome super steel blade and made in the U.S.
Seems a bit pricey for a non-auto knife, even if US made. I'd pay twice as much to avoid a "made in China" origin but this is getting up there.
American made autos are usually $250+, a lot more with special steel blades like S90V. I recently bought a Hogue Counter Strike with carbon fiber scales and Magnacut blade for $340 and thought it's a good value for the craftsmanship and materials used. Good luck finding a USA made automatic knife with any blade steel under $200.
Regular Paramilitary 2s cost $170+ for the plain S45VN blade, $185+ for the coated DLC blade. Spyderco and other popular U.S. knife brands raised their prices tremendously the past year. Normal Paramilitary 2 used to cost around $140 like the deal here, but it came in S30V and that was like 2 years ago, before inflation and price hikes.
i used to love my spyderco Native till the tip broke ( CIRCA 2007), this is tempting but can't imagine what id do if i lost it. Using a marked down leek now. do miss the design.
As someone who knows nothing about knives - can someone explains what's special about those knives and why they are worth over $100+? (serious question)
