As mentioned the big advantage of this one, its fully local unless you want to use it through the internet you can, and it requires no subscription fees.

Out of all the pre-built hubs, Hubitat is probably the best. However, if you want more advanced features and ease of use nothing gets close to Home Assistant. Which you can get some "pre-built" hubs for.
There is a bit of a learning curve with Hubitat, while rules for automation are pretty good once you have them setup, creating them are a pain, They seem to keep on adding paid features to try and suck you into a subscription.
In conclusion, Hubitat is a good cheap way to get your foot in the door of home automation. If you are really serious about home automation then Home Assistant is what you should be looking at and what many Hubitat owners do migrate to.

The "paid" backup subscription backs up the network radio data so you can transfer everything from one hub to another or if you do a full reset.
Matter is the new standard for communication. I wouldn't jump into zigbee right now unless you are OK replacing a lot of things in a couple years.
If you want basically very simlar capabilities to Home Assistant in an OOB experience with very little maintenance HE is a great option.
I have over 150 devices and 100+ rules/automations which has been running for years without any issues. I just run the hub updates once in a while and maybe add a couple devices/rules here and there.
Even when I had a power outage for a week I had my generator running with all of my lighting automations working without a hitch.

There are some "pre-built" HA hubs out there. But they are just Raspberry Pi's in a box. Really all comes down to your level of comfort. Like I said in previous posts, once you get the home automation bug, you'll want something better and more feature set so you'll jump over to HA.

What you can do is put whatever (the real important things) you want local no internet operation on the Hubitat and the other more wifi or internet oriented devices can go on the ST till you are ready to convert everything to one hub.
Alexa is not really a real hub but it is a form of smart home automation and it can be integrated into both hubs, but unfortunately that integration will die the second the internet dies. There is a company making a local only smart home assistant that will work with hubitat it is on preorder and costs an arm and a leg right now but it will make even voice commands fully work local with no internet.
