Bass on bookshelf speakers is not good, you'll need a sub.

good deal, I'd pass. I like old worn in 30+ year old klipsch stuff.
these are reportedly everything people complain about klipsch for, but you can eq, keep the grills on, toe them out a bit and enjoy massive dynamic sound for cheap!
If you like the klipsch sound, these are great, Klipsch sound is great for things like jungle environments that hard or harsh signature 'chish' sound really shines there.
People say the B200's are made with like left over parts or something...idk ♂️
speakers...

I would get these instead... ELAC - Debut 2.0 B6.2 (Walnut) Walnut
https://www.amazon.com/Elac-Debut...97e41410bb
Put a higher value on the sounds you're sending into your brain for the next few years.

Great suggestion. I'm looking at my black pair of Elac Debut 2.0's right now. Fantastic sound for the price.

They actually replaced my Klipsh RB-10s which were decent for the size and wattage, but required a sub for any real listening. I accidentally blew them out though when I was updating the firmware on my DAC/AMP and it suddenly played a loud screeching sound.

The Elac Debut 2.0's have a much smoother softer sound than Klipsh's horn tweeters. MUCH better for accoustic and classical music, but for some EDM you are better off with a horn tweeter like JBL and Klipsh use imo.

I hesitate to use words like "warm" because I feel like that's audiophile gibberish and doesn't quite mean what I'm getting at here, but Elac Debuts are much easier to listen to for a long time. It's softer on the ear like a warm tone on a TV is easier on your eyes. Klipsh and JBL/Harman Karman make a much more attack like sound more like a bluer tone on a tv does visually, if that makes sense.

You get a Vizio soundbar and sub + 2 surrounds for $150ish on Amazon. I have one and it BUMPS. Sound quality is pretty good, and to the average listener that hasn't set up their own sound system before, it is exceptional. You can play with all the sound settings to make it exactly how you want. I can't recommend this enough over a pair of speakers (unless you don't have a tv in your living room or bedroom that would be good to listen to music around)

If you need bookshelf speakers, I'm not the person to ask. I had to put that recommendation out there though. My Vizio soundbar + speakers has saved me a ton of money.

You can get some "decent" bass from bookshelf speakers if you get the right ones. If you are looking for booming bass you need a sub, or for bass you can feel you need to invest in a quality sub that can reach 25 hz or so. Check out parts express and some of their "upgraded" bookshelf speakers, as they have impressive range for the price. Keep in mind you need an amp or receiver to drive them.

This deal seems meh. This set seems to have been designed as part of a 5.1 system. Klipsch is also selling a somewhat similar speaker with nearly the same range on its website for $99.

I really enjoyed a pair of KG .5's but they used a dime tweeter, go figure.

these are passive speaker, so if you couple these with a powered (active) sub that has passive speaker inputs, you would get a good sound with some good Boom

Sub needed. This is a great deal. A few weeks ago i replaced all my surround speakers with these... and the matching center. Compared to my old home theater in a box setup from early 2000's - these are a big step up. I feel like i get more directional bass in movies - vs my sub doing all the work. Really makes a difference. Yes - always something better - but if you are running tiny surrounds right now... These are great.

Music is great - but for rap (im a fan also)... A sub is a must. These are great components if building a system IMO.

Hmm, I have 5.1. Two speakers died (even I did replaced wire). I have 5.0 polk audio speakers and center and polk audio sub. I plan to get two Klipsch and put two in the back. Please correct me, having different brand doesn't matter since there is maybe 90% ambient sound right?

If yes, I will replace center and speakers next year.
If no, I guess I will have 3.1 next year.

From what i understand.... Having the front sound stage match (brand/make/size/spec) is important. As is having the rear sound stage match. Just for sound consistency. I'd focus on the front first if possible. Klipsch has factory refurbished deals. That is where i picked my entire set. I run a polk sub.

Should I get these to replace rears or can it help make 5.1 into 7.1 as rears?

The 250 msrp is bullshit here, regular price is 129.99 where it's perpetually on sale

Hard to say. I think id want the 'beefer' of my speakers for the front sound stage. If your current front speakers are bigger/better specs than these - i think they would work fine as rears. Or - look at Klipsch factory refurbished on their main site. Refurb section is located under 'black Friday' deals... More options there.
