I agree...only b/c my Hisense 65" developed dead pixels immediately after a required update. "Thankfully" w/in the first year and it was covered and replaced not just free, but with a $20 GC to Amazon "for my troubles". New one works great.

I did turn off updates, but apparently there are some just "required"....not that an update should do that to a TV... So, I'd say "yes" to the extended warranty and keep all emails/invoices/etc for that warranty, otherwise prepare to relive horror stories of trying to get it covered when they can't find it w/o your proof. (Yes, shocking in the age of computers...but they still pull that crap of putting to onus on you to prove you paid them $$ and can't find you in their own system...but magically do once you provide proof </soapbox>)

A problem I don't really see mentioned that i've been having with all the Hisense TVs that my family and I own are that they are inconsistent with casting. For my U6G and my sisters A6H a lot of the time the option to cast from desktop/phone to the TV just isn't there. It doesn't show up in the Cast tab a lot of the time and sometimes will have issues with disconnects. My parents have the U8H and it's always available to cast but still has issues keeping connection sometimes.

Here I'm waiting for the 65" TCL 5 / U6H for $320. Is that a dream? The 55" TCL 5 was on sale for $200 at BB. Wonder why these 65" models are double the price.
