This will not heat a room; only people directly in front of the heater.

1500 watts of electricity being used will always give off the same amount of btu's no matter what... It could be a heater a computer a refrigerator etc. 1 watt is equal to 3.412 Btu's per hour no matter what type of product is using the electricity.

Was it the same form factor? I've seen one at my store, it's a Dr. Heater brand and it's likes $160+

Small room with door closed at best. Youd have to stand in front of it to feel the heat. I dont think they're worth it. I had one for a few days before returning it.
