No offense but most people hiking would plan ahead enough to know about parking and what their options are. That type of research is the entire point of this app. Hiking requires planning…or at least it should if you're going backwoods. This app allows that.

$3 higher than last year, but it doesn't seem to exclude returning members this time, though I haven't verified yet. I've had it for a year now. It's nice, but not sure it's worth $18. I always forget to download maps before I get to weak cell areas anyway, lol

Me too. I got this last year. But I found I never download the maps when I need it. Maybe that means I don't need it ? Confused

Agree. Requires pre-planning if heading to locations with weak cell service. Found it useless in Glacier and Yellowstone last summer. Parking lots for some of the hikes I downloaded were full and I couldn't get cell service to find alternatives on the fly. Cool when you have cell service, but I found it to be rarely accessible in remote locations.

No offense but most people hiking would plan ahead enough to know about parking and what their options are. That type of research is the entire point of this app. Hiking requires planning…or at least it should if you're going backwoods. This app allows that.

Yes, but not when there isn't flexibility to make adjustments or identify alternative options on the fly. I did a lot of pre-planning and found the pro version of this app to be disappointing. Even launching the downloaded maps in the app didn't work well - kept getting freezing upon launch. I've used it locally and in very remote locations and was disappointed each time. Great if it works for others, but wasn't my experience at all.

It works reasonably well. I always download maps for trails in advance and it helps to know I'm going the right way in areas where multiple trails connect.

It is just about worth this asking price. I find the full Google Play price too much and you can usually find a coupon on the web anyway.

I still have active subscription from the past year for few days.

I logout, clicked this promotion, log in and try to pay. The payment fails with message 'There was an error processing your payment. Please contact support.'. Tried two different cards and by PayPal with same result.
