I had a fire stick and it would keep freezing up/become laggy. I thought it was the remote but it wasn't. If you watch a lot of stuff on tv, the Apple TV is a much better experience.

This is exactly what I have two of them. I had the Firestick as well (4k) and it seemed to be way too light on hardware, and the experience wasn't great. Not saying it doesn't have it's place, I have a Roku stick I bring with me when I travel to avoid the horrendous experience of using a hotel TV, but for home, I've never regretted the AppleTV.
