Does not seem like a great mic unless you want a warmer tone like the sm7b. But good find nonetheless.

Seems to be nice inexpensive ribbon-like mic that tries to look and sound like RŠ•-20 but at a lower price point. Not sure if it is competitive at its list price, but with this discount I think I will like it for my work-from-home setup, thank you for posting this deal!

If you look up podcastage you can get an understanding of what it sounds like pretty well.

I have an sm58 and I guess I can't really hear an improvement.

Indeed, I checked that very same video review on youtube, and it convinced me to pull the trigger. I have fairly resolving playback system that I trust, and in that review sequence Rode Procaster was the first mic that I clearly preferred over 512. If I had to choose between $150 512 and $160 Procaster, I would definitely get the latter... but if 512 costs only $40 I have to admit that I am no pro, and Google Meet will compress away any sound difference between those microphones. I am currently using cheap condenser mic and would like to try a mic with 'axial' orientation (for convenience) and better side noise rejection.

Sounds nothing like my SM7B or RE20 but for $40 this thing is amazing. Makes for the perfect gift for my nephew getting into streaming. Goxlr mini drives this thing with ease
