You dont need the total tech to keep the warranty. However there is a discount on the warranty if you have total tech. When i factored in the hassle of delivering or transporting an oled with no box , mounting the tv, and the discount on the warranty it made sense to purchase total tech.

OLED is likely overkill for you. Your description implies youre not into super high quality video display. OLED is another level of quality and for most its not worth the premium. If youre coming from Plasma, OLED is the only TV worth buying since they stopped making plasmas .

Get yourself one of the new Hisense or TCL TVs, i suspect thats more than enough for you.

3 weeks ago I joked about getting a C1 and selling my 5 yr old Sony Bravia, it must have heard me and the panel died the next week.

Needless to say I found a deal on a 55" C1 but if this 65" was available at that time I would have gotten this.

Basically same TV. B2 is a bit brighter, 2 less 2.1 HDMI ports if you care, a bit slower CPU. Either is fantastic, pick the size you want. enjoy

Ended up getting the 77" B2 from Amazon last night for $1996 + 10% cash back. Last OLED was a 65" B7 so I'm excited. This is a smoking deal but personally couldn't go back to a 65". Feel like the equivalent deal to a 77" would be around $1800 + 10% cash back.
