I mean the performance it's based on your usage. If it's profesional work then yeah it is worth the performance. Also, it doubles the amount of RAM to which it should naturally be supported for longer. .

Not sure what you keep on your iPad but for media (movies, tv shows, etc.) something like this Samsung USB-C drive [a.co] (256GB for as low as $25 and super fast read speeds) is perfect instead of paying Apple's ridiculous prices for storage.

Also, if you already have a large iCloud plan, there is that also.

(note: the 256GB version of this drive was just $25 and looks like it sold out from Amazon and only 128GB are available). But they work great with something like Infuse to manage and play your media.
Samsung.com [samsung.com] has the 256Gb version for $24 but delivery times are in Jan 2023.

Update: Amazon [a.co] is now available for $24 with delivery by DEC 21.

For those who caught the Walmart iPad Air 4th Gen for $350 is it worth the extra $150 for the M1 chip?

Was able to do price match from Target. I also have 10% discount from cash app so the price is about $450. If you don't have you could use red card for 5%

Yes M1 much better than A14, you will get more years for software support.

Its for the kids and wife. Mostly surfing, Robolox, Minecraft and watching content. I don't think its worth the extra $150 x 3 for their use case so I may just keep the Walmart deal since I just set them all up.

I would guess if you're buying the 64GB model, you're not doing "professional work". As such, most people, like me, who opted for the 64GB model use it for email, browsing and watching video.

If that is the case, the 4th Gen iPad Air for $350 is the best deal. I picked one up from Walmart and have not looked back.

Yes. The best "mid-level" iPad variant for the $$$.

The iPad 9th gen going for $250 is awesome BUT it meant for basic usage. It has 3GB of RAM and it does not have laminated screen.
