Time machines being still in the design phase, there is hope another retailer will mimic sometime during the holidays, but this is still solid if you missed out and want this one vs the Neo, and can take advantage of the EDU/MIL discount.
Was wondering if I should get it and at this price I'm definitely OK with the decision!
EDIT: PSA for all - This is showing up on the normal advertised link in the Samsung shop, no need for the app! You'll have to go to the cart page after you added the monitor for the price to show up (must have EDU/military discount as well). Thanks again OP for the find!
As a note the CRG9 works at 100hz in PBP mode.
The G9 works at 60hz in PBP and maybe some mods and custom settings to get it up to 120/144hz in PBP.
Hmmm… it might be worthwhile to just kept the CRG9 since I run almost exclusively in PBP mode.

This model's curvature is 1000R and not 1800R (as in the newer ones). This matters based on your usecase.
However, I have found from my acquaintances that 1000R suits some of them better than 1800 R.
The only set of folks who cringed on 1000R were the ones who used it for immersive gaming.

Though, honestly, I'd stick with three separate monitors for work - I find being able to quickly maximize windows to fill a screen, or snap them to the left and right of a screen, very useful. On the CRG9/G9 the maximizing fills the whole monitor, which is rarely ideal, and snapping is limited to the left half and right half. I find easily being able to throw 3-6 applications up at once without having to drag and resize much more useful.
I think the CRG9/G9/Neo G9 shine as gaming monitors, where the Neo G9 > G9 > CRG9.
G9 vs CRG9 - for work and productivity with zero gaming! Excited about PBP and driving a Mac and Windows at same time! G9 is $80 more probably for games it can matter!
Repped!
Both coming with horrible yellow hue line every 1 cm (the QLED lines)
Don't buy, seriously, I don't think they have fixed the quality issue
