One of my best purchases. Open your garage from anywhere with cell service and have peace of mind that you closed it.

Having had both, I would say this version is much easier to set up and seems to work more seamlessly with less hassles. I gave away my black one and replaced it with a white one because it's much more reliable with my opener. Fortunately, the black one works ok for the person I gave it to.

I would always choose the white one over the black one for a new purchase, but if you aren't having problems, it may not be worth replacing it either...

Around the same price every Thanksgiving for the past 5 years through 2 different versions.

Surprisingly responsive on the notifications to my iPhone.

For those that ask bout black version vs this. I've own the 1st gen (black version) for bout 5yrs and never had a problem. Setting up took only 10mins. It does what it's suppose to do and that's all I need. Change the battery once a year. Only maintenance that's needed

I have a 2-door garage. Could I order 2x myQ Smart Garage Control for $16.99 each and use just the door sensor from the second set? Or, do I have to fork over $40 for just the Smart Garage Control door sensor, for the second door?
What brand are your openers? I have chamberlain that don't require the sensors to determine the door state. The MyQ knows if the door is open, closed, or cracked.

If you have two garages… shouldn't you buy one of these and purchase a separate sensor? Instead of buy two hubs?

Unfamiliar with this… and am seriously debating purchasing so any help would be great. I also have a lift master and am confused how this would work

You can use the sensor from the second one. No need to spend 40 on the same thing

Yep my older version works perfectly. At one point I bought another one as a backup since who knows when the current one would fail. That one is still in a drawer somewhere.

Ordered one for my parents. I have a older MyQ hub that never worked with my opener until liftmaster gave out the free Wi-Fi Motion-Detecting Control Panel that worked with the hub. Love it. I was shocked when talking with Ma the other day that when they built the McMansion that their opener did not have this. Cheap useful Christmas present for those that are really hard to buy for. I just hope they don't want me to fly half way across the country to install it. lol

No it works great and is fully functional. The subscription is only for using Alexa or Google assistant.

I purchased 2 of these as its cheaper to do so than to buy 1 and 1 door sensor. Doing so I use 1 hub and the 2 sensors for the 2 doors.

FYI, the low battery alert is crap as I got almost another 6 more months after it said low battery. The battery is not standard, so you'll have to buy the special battery which isn't expensive per say but just expensive than other standard cell bats.

Right...this takes your standard non-smart garage door into an app controlled open your garage from anywhere without paid service device.

You can add open/close alerts and routines so that if the garage is left opened after 8PM (think pesky kids) then it will close it for your nightly.
