I think the Vitamix Pro Series 750 is also an epic deal at $399.95 + tax + free shipping + free apron. It comes in black or pearl gray. It definitely gets solid reviews amongst Vitamix models themselves.

how does this compare to the Vitamix E520 Blender Package at costco?
are you sure? I am assuming it's the same base machine?
costco giving 2 tumber while vitamix site is giving personal cup and adaptor.
the personal cup adaptor seem to be worth $100+
Not a good price. Explorian is the light weight economy series presented as an introduction to Vitamix. Costco had them put a slightly stronger motor in the E310 to make it an E320. It is often on sale for $300. The noise vibration and counter dancing were enough for me to return it straight off. I don't see anything inspiring in this Cyber Monday sale.
The heavy duty G series are solid blenders. Pro 750 is among the quietest and $400 is not a bad price but it is still outdated. The 7500 goes on sale for $300. The best deal this year imo was the A3300 on BF. Perhaps that will come around again. The refurbs are fine but only if the price is low enough to make up for the loss of the 7 year warranty on G's or 10 year on A's imo.

Is the E520 any different from the e320, when it comes to performance and cleaning?

I don't require an "introduction to Vitamix". Therefore I won't be testing or buying any more Explorian models. But any Vitamix will blend and they all clean up the same. Others will decide what is a good value for them. My personal budget for Viamix will never exceed $300. I will personally buy nothing less than a G series. The 7500 hits that price point new once or twice a year. Vitamix warranty stays with the blender. I can find a used one still under warranty for much less. Look for the DOM on the bottom.
Combo deals: I suggest avoiding these as a first purchase. The personal jars and such may end up as useless clutter. The 64 oz is required for green juice. The finished juice is 1 to 1-1/2 quarts. Vitamix isn't required to make single servings of protein shake.
A narrow 32 or 48 oz jar is nice to have for frozen deserts, sherbert but these can still be made in the 64 oz low with 4" blades with practice.
