The prices you need to pay for these new gen motherboards and DDR5 Rams absolutely kill this deal

I rather build a 5950X and save a couple hundred
Not unless you have a MC close by. Got this, 32 GB ram and x670 for $700.
For bran new build, 5950x make little sense as x570 and DDR5 are out.

Microcenter dropped 7900X price to $439.98, so if you purchased one during Microcenter BF sale at $473 last week, you can get refund on price difference. I went in today, and got $33 back. Not sure if the price drop is permanent or temporary.

What you guys think, get this or wait for the x3d version next year?
From what ive read the 7000 series X3D is coming in the next month or two. My bet is that it would be worth the wait, but will probably be expensive.

IMO the cost is still a little too high for AM5 CPU's, but kudos to AMD for making the prices more competitive. I wish Intel had done the same. Even still, the 13700kf was the better value. picked the 13700kf and got it for almost $50 less than this deal and put that money towards high speed DDR5 ram.
