Not sure why this isn't getting any love. I bought One Night Ultimate Alien a couple years ago - it's the same thing essentially with some tweaks - and it's a hoot. Buying a 2nd one for my Church group.

Why buy board version? Wouldn't a app version be easier to play with people? Just curious
The box contains a manual as well as a card and token for each role. The cards are useful for randomizing and assigning roles. The tokens are useful for when playing with roles that can secretly look at someone else's role or change other players' roles. There's also an app that will walk you through all phases of the game so you don't need to have a moderator.
Can't really understand this one. I love deception games. We play Secret Hitler, Night of the Ninja, and Coup.
But this one seems like kinda TOO basic I guess..
It's good as an entry level option for social deduction type games. Secret Hitler etc are very complex and have quite a bit of strategy which can maybe damper some people's spirits. This is like a light fun version of those games lol.
Eh, have you ever played mafia? It's like that with pieces to keep track of.
Mafia has minimal if any strategy, it's all just people yelling at each other and trying to kill of random folks. Also, once someone is dead in Mafia, they can't participate & it can be boring. I enjoy this game for it's quick playability and easy rules. Definitely one of my fav games for a large group

Instead, buy WereWORDS, it is much better experience in the same amount of time.
But I'd rather invest 20 more minutes into a game of Resistance Avalon or Secret Hitler, (or Coup if looking for more strategic decisions)
