Is it worth paying $100 for a nonrenewed 5200 with a 7-year warranty? The only difference between the Explorian and the 5200 is that the 5200 is not dishwasher safe but comes with a longer cord (which I don't need).

I ordered one of these at this price on Amazon Prime Day and it's been stellar. Our Blendtec finally started going out after many years so we switched over to Vitamix. Very happy.

I would say yes - just replaced a similar model (the one from sd around the black speck gate time, when they bumped everyones 5 year refurb warranties to 7 years) and between years 4-7 I had 3 warranty claims. I was really thankful to have those extra years.

They hold value so well I got nearly as much as I originally paid selling it locally!

Want to verify. Anyone knows the refurbished warranty on this Vitamix? I know the warranty is like 5 years or so if purchased from Vitamix themselves. TIA.

Just not sure if I should get the extra 4 yr. warranty offered by Asurion for $30 if buying from Amazon as it offers only 90 days warranty.

This is a gift for family member. I like the 64 oz. low-profile container on the Explorer compared to the longer 64 oz container that comes with the 5200.

Edit: I found my answer. As long as the Vitamix sold by Amazon, the serial number on the Vitamix is not reported as stolen or so, there is a 3 year warranty covered by Vitamix.
