This laptop sounds great except I like 14" more than 15". Damn!!!
Just can't find the perfect laptop for wife (yet).
14". Prefer touch but not necessary. Decent panel. 16gb if soldered otherwise doesn't matter. Backlit keyboard. Not acer or gateway Smilie

I like Lenovo and Dell typically.

This is a nice deal for sure. I may ask my wife her thoughts on a 15 but don't want her to know it's my Xmas gift!

Has anyone reported problems with zoom calls? My IdeaPad from a few years ago can't do zoom calls, quality is very poor on audio/video. YMMV

I had a problem with an hp hinge, which brand has good hinges these days? Seems to be a way for manufacturers to design it so that it's junk in a couple years.

literally a piece of metal you can replace aftermarket easy after years of heavy use vs core components
I'm afraid every single laptop will cake with dust, and thermal paste will degrade as well.
Don't be afraid to "own" (maintain) the products you use.
