Replacing a Hoover with Bissell carpet cleaner. Hoover only sprayed if turbo button was depressed, started leaking the dirty water back onto the carpet even after several cleanings of the unit. We will see if the bissell holds up better at more than twice the cost of this.

It's misleading to list an unrealistically high sticker price like this, so it looks like a larger discount. Nevertheless, it's still a lower price than most other sellers... lower than all I checked except eBay.

I don't know about this carpet cleaner, but make sure you have / get a good vacuum and actually (dry) deep clean your carpet before you just go to town (wet) cleaning it.

So many people just don't vacuum, or give it a brief pass and think its good - it absolutely isnt. even in a clean home going over your carpet a few passes and using a lower setting on your height will absolutely help you keep the life in whatever (wet) cleaning solution you do buy.

Just bought a Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution yesterday directly from Bissels website. On sale for $229 and if you donated $10 to pets they took $20 off (net $10 off) making it $219. Reviews on it overall were really good, made it on multiple "best carpet cleaner" lists. Yes it's twice as much as this but you get what you paid for.

My sister has one of these and brought it down to clean the living room carpets. All it did was make the carpet wet and then the carpets rippled a bit before drying out. It did get rid of almost all the dog smell, but the carpet still looked dingy. It is older-ish carpet and light colored, so I wouldn't expect even professional carpet cleaning to make that look new, but I was expecting at least some noticeable improvement and this did not deliver that.

I do but the one at CostCo was model 2007F while the one on Bissell was 22837. From what I can tell the CostCo one is exclusive to them and doesn't come with the same number of accessories although it's hard to tell from CostCo's website. The picture on the one from CostCo has a paw print and says "Deluxe" while the one on Bissle says "Pet Pro". Has to be something different.

Unless you are doing a lot of carpet shampooing, it's usually a better deal to get a good vacuum and then rent the shampooing machine. You can get a very good, long-lasting Shark vacuum for about the same price ($100) at Walmart. If you rent the shampooer, you get to use a MUCH stronger machine, and you get the benefit of not having to store it for the 99.5% of the time that it is not in use.

Before Black Friday the Walmart price was actually $169. These are available on the hoover site for $99 with free shipping, but if u give them your email they will give u 15% off. That makes it less than walmart.

I've had a hoover vacuum for over a decade. It has fallen down the stairs and kept working. Picks up crap the same today as it did when new. Perhaps you haven't changed the filter bag? Depending on the dust/junk picked up, that needs to be changed monthly or annually. We have the annual change reminder - our dog doesn't shed. YMMV.

I'm tempted with this deal, but learned long ago NEVER BUY YOUR WIFE CLEANING TOOLS as a gift.
