Great starter mechanical keyboards. Just beware the rabbit hole.
These keyboards hit the sweet spot for price/performance. I have 2 at the home office and 3rd at the office office and they're all great. Just got the K8 with QMK and it's phenomenal.
Nice post, same as well on Amazon, free shipping.

Any recommendation on which full size/10key model to go with?

C1 & C2 are unbeatable deals if you don't mind wired. Q3 TKL would be the luxury pick.

The K-series are fine, too. Can't go wrong, really, if you're getting your first mech board.

Love the K8 tenkeyless keyboards. Got two of them. One for me for work with the blue switches and one for my son for gaming with the red switches.

Which would be a good construct/ combo for a quiet productivity keyboard… but with media keys. I don't have use for number pad

They have different actuation force, different sound and feel. If you have a choice, go for the optical version. They have more different options available for optical. My favorite is Banana.

I also liked Keychron optical blue switches much more compared to the Gateron mechanical blue. Mechanical blue are too heavy and the sound sucks.

If choosing between Gateron mechanical, I'd go for brown or red.

Note that switches is a personal preference, so your opinion may be completely different.

I got the Red K5 SE. Mainly, I need a wired kb for work and BT for my personal MAC. These are great KBs for that purpose. Where is the free shipping?
