Great starter mechanical keyboards. Just beware the rabbit hole.
These keyboards hit the sweet spot for price/performance. I have 2 at the home office and 3rd at the office office and they're all great. Just got the K8 with QMK and it's phenomenal.

i got the keychron K2. that keyboard is nice and compact. probably my favorite keyboard. a little pricey but with a discount, i'll pick up another. maybe look for a full keyboard with numpad. thanks.

Which would be a good construct/ combo for a quiet productivity keyboard… but with media keys. I don't have use for number pad

The K-series are fine, too. Can't go wrong, really, if you're getting your first mech board.
