Nice TV. I've been watching the price on the 55 inch model. Hoping it goes lower for BF

I am in between this and Costco 100U70N deal for 2K. Specwise QM7 is better but still a sun 2200 would be really nice.

TCL 98-Inch QM7 mini LED Lowest price based on camelcamelcamel. I was debating between this or the Costco U70/76 100" for $1999.

Costco U70 is nice but compared to OLED, it's pretty obvious which one is better. Both Sony and LG Oled just crushed it.

Anyone know any good warranty program to buy with this TV? All State?

There will be PQ trade-off with size for any 98-100 inches VA FALD and mini led TV against OLED. So it is like a 98 mid-level mini led vs 83 inch entry level OLED (B4) for the same price. I do like OLED for sure but immersion is also important.

I wish. I think you misunderstood me. I meant mini LED vs OLED would close the gap in PQ compared to ULED vs OLED. I do have a mini LED at home and can tell the difference in contrast vs QLED and it's especially noticeable with OLED.

I ended up buying $1926 open box from BB.

I have the 100" Costco one and love it. U can see my pictures in that other thread.

My main reason was the 5 yr warranty inc on Costco and Costco has a 90 day policy for TV returns unlike Bestbuy. And Costco will take care of the pickup as well for returns. U dont need to pack or haul the box either.

In 5 years, I figure 100" OLED will be around and whole lot cheaper than current prices.

And the Hisense is no slouch either. The only downsides are 1) the non 4k upscaler is so and so 2) side viewing is average as the picture gets washed out. But for me, most of my viewing is via streaming apps and my Dish HD hopper for football.

On paper, the TCL QM7 is probably slighty better but in real life, I don't think u can tell the difference. The Qm8 is a step up though.

For me, I'm a happy camper with the 100" Hisense. I've had friends over for last weeks Thursday night football and one of them is actually going to buy the same set when the deal starts on Nov 11th.

Thank you for detailed feedback. Currently (temporarily) using 75X90CL hence the VA FALD panel with Sony picture processing. I was honestly looking for at least a mini led or just an OLED as the primary TV. 77 OLEDs don't make sense size-wise other than better blacks and contrast, but my TV is quite good on these aspects as well.
83-inch C4/A80L/G4 (particularly) OLEDs are a tad bit higher on the price. So unless I get a A95L or G4 OLED, my upgrade may feel limited.
We are using the TV for 4K movies, streaming apps and 4K console gaming. Previously I used to have a 75-inch Philips mini-led TV and Epson LS800+120inch ALR screen but do not want to get into a similar setup here as although it is good still lacks TV level brightness and PQ.
Single primary immersive big TV screen is really something I look for while considering PQ for sure. 100U70N is actually quite affordable for me and may give a shot as a 100-inch.

From what I've seen at my local BB(they have them side by side), the QM7 is a fairly significant upgrade from the Hisense 1007N. Everything looked better on it. Colors, black levels, viewing angle, contrast, detail. I was actually quite surprised by how good it looked.

Thanks for this. I've been trying to compare all the reasonably priced 98s at best buys last few days. I've been to two but have yet to see the QM7 and the Hisense on display anywhere let alone side by side, but was just told the app shows you which tv is on display in which store.
For the Hisense there are a few model #s - Coscto U70N, Best buy U76N - are these the same tv (QLED, but not mini-LED) ?

They are almost the same TV. I read a comment that the number of dimming zones of the U70N Costco version is less than U76N but the exact difference is unknown and negligible at this point. I wish Costco sell TCL 98 mini leds as well.

U read wrong. Both are exactly the same panel. Costco always like to have unique model # s to prevent price match to other stores.

Both Costco and BB have exactly the same spec sheets (256 local dimming zones).

That may be the case it was an online comment. But when I compare specifications on Hisense official website, I see that Brightness Level is given as 800 nits for 100U76N with Advanced HDR in HDR-compatible spec while 100U70N page lacks those specs. Most likely their panels are just the same with subtle differences, maybe. No real-life differences should be experienced.
