I haven't posted any deals before, so I apologize if I'm doing anything incorrectly, or if I'm missing something, but I just bought this, and it appears to be the lowest price yet on this mesh router system.

https://www.newegg.com/asus-et12-...6833320521

There should be $75 off w/ promo code BFDBY2A636

MSRP is $900, and it is regularly around $840. For whatever reason, it has 1 2-star rating on Newegg, but the other reviews I've read (amazon and various tech sites) seem to indicate it has pretty great signal strength, and I like that it uses a more standard web based router configuration method. Most other mesh systems have relatively feature poor configuration methods, many of which require you to make an account with the manufacturer.

Ridiculous price for a home wi-fi mesh system. Glad you can save $75, but the thing is $800 to start with.

Agreed on best price I have seen for this system. Over kill unless you have gigabit internet and wouldn't recommend unless you have a wired back haul as it makes the new Wi-Fi 6e essentially useless for most. I'm personally only looking at Wi-Fi 6 and will wait for Wi-Fi 7.

Both reasonable points. It's more like $115 off the normal price (175 off msrp). It is roughly half the price of the equivalent Netgear Orbi system, but the benefits of 6e are definitely highly contingent on your home situation. The eero is a better deal if you wanted simplicity and don't mind going with Amazon. A wired backhaul is always ideal, and these are some of the best if you can do that and have clients that can make use of the extra 6ghz wifi bands/speed and aren't themselves wired. In the absence of wiring, you have to be in a situation where a 6ghz backhaul is feasible (generally <60ft distance between nodes) and the extra coverage that buys you is useful. In that case, I'm guessing the 6ghz backhaul will be more stable, since there is less interference with radar and neighbors' wifi. So yes, niche, but not totally unreasonable compared to other manufacturer's offerings. If you can wait, and/or you don't have a need for the extra speed and extra lanes (media server, fiber internet, etc), then I totally agree that it's overkill.

I bought 2 (limit). They did give $150 off with the code.
