Not slick but lowest price I've seen for this in a little while. Surprised there aren't more steep discounts for japanese knives since the dollar is so strong. For those looking for a general purpose knife, this is not it. This is a vegetable / fruit cutter. This is for someone who knows what a nakiri is and want one and for someone who knows how to take care of japanese knives. Keep in mind this is the cheaper model for nakiri that mac makes and it's not a tang thru knife. It was highly rated by america's test kitchen years ago . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHb4nny
