I got this a while back for 450. 100% worth it. Might need to tune your settings and GPU clocks if you want to take advantage of all this thing has to offer. Running 1440p at top resolutions pushes my 3070 to 80C unless I step it down a tad and sacrifice some frames.

I bought this early this morning when I saw the price drop from $449. I was waiting for it to drop back down. $399 looks like the normal sale price but maybe not a screaming deal. According to 3 x camel, this was $399 in late October / early November as well. Highly rated by RTINGS and best I can tell, nothing significantly better for my needs before going with an Alienware OLED in the 34-35" ultrawide space. In case someone doesn't notice, I'll call it our overtly: this is a flat screen and not curved like many of the other 34" ultrawides. I'm okay with this but others may not be.

There's a hidden gem on Newegg right now. Not many people have reviewed it, but just by going by specs, it looks like it crushes all other mid range 34" ultrawides.

It's the ASRock Phantom Gaming monitor. I don't know how accurate their specs are but ASRock claims that peak brightness is 550 cd/m2 and the refresh rate is 165hz. I don't think I've seen another mid range monitor with peak brightness at 550 cd/m2. Seems like 300-400 is most common. Then the really unique thing going for it is it has a Wifi antennas on the stand to extend out from a desktop PC (if someone is using wirelsss). That's really cool. Here's a link: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824028001. It's a VA panel. I guess some people don't like that. VA's give superior contrast though.

Some people dont like VA because the image smears whenever there is motion, like built in motion blur. Also if you use darkmode, text will dissappear for a moment when scolling. Response is just that slow even if it boasts 1ms. If you game go with IPS, if you look at static images, browse web, or watch movies, VA is the way to go.

Went up to $459 34" might be a little too big. I think 27 to maybe 32 should be the perfect size.

Did anyone receive theirs yet? I saw a negative review on Amazon posted on Dec 5th. The QC on these seems not to be so great, and it may take returning a few until you receive a good one. Mine shipped today finally and is coming Friday, and I'm a bit worried but prepared to have to return if needed. I ordered a Belkin Thunderbolt 4 cable so that I can hook it up to my M1 Max Macbook Pro. Crossing my fingers.
