Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ Bundle 12.3" Touch Screen Intel Core i5 8GB RAM
128GB SSD Platinum with Black Surface Type Cover for $599

Pretty solid deal for a machine that was announced in September 2021. Biggest issue is the small SSD imo. But you can replace this relatively easily (search Surface Pro 7+ SSD Upgrade on YouTube.) It also has an SD card slot.

Had one of these exact same models, returned it. Would constantly hang up and freeze on my, even requiring hard resets. This is after updating to all the latest Windows Updates (mine came preinstalled with Windows 11). Not sure if the bottleneck was the processor or RAM, or if I just had a faulty product. YMMV

Edit: Also this same seller wanted to charge me a restocking fee for returning an "opened" product (was still in like new condition, only had for less than a week). Had to open an eBay dispute. So keep that in mind if you order and aren't happy with the machine.

Sounds like you got a lemon.
I got one of the Pro 7+ models from Antonline on eBay in August (I think it was $630 then) and no issues so far. The 7+ has been well reviewed and has been out long enough that I would think any major design flaws would have been exposed by now (see: Flickergate with the Pro 4).
I'm a very light user and just need it for when I go to a coffee shop or on a trip for basic email and web surfing so haven't really stressed it. Maybe that's why it hasn't acted up.

I myself waited for the i3 version with no fan. Picked it up $550. Running great and problem free. Very happy with purchase.

From what I read the i5 model also has no fan - only the i7 model has a fan.

No touchscreen . No kickstand. Different O/S. And twice the cost.

Might as well recommend a toaster.
