The Cam Plus license gets assigned to whomever places the order though, so if you want to gift these, and you use your email address, YOUR account will get the cam plus license and you can still gift the Video Doorbell to someone.
Without the subscription, it will still work for ringing in the house through the chime when someone presses the button, and it can still record and notify (if you want) of "Motion events." It just won't be able to tell you if there was a person, or pet or package delivered or whatever else. It also will only record the first 12 seconds of motion, whereas with the subscription it will record the entire time motion is detected (based on your sensitivity and detection zone settings).
You don't have to renew the subscription.
This does not have a battery, it is wired-only.
This does not have an SD card in it, it is records cloud events only (12 second motion events without the subscription, or complete motion events with the included subscription).
3:4 Aspect Ratio (Vertical instead of horizontal).120 degree field of view.
1080p Full HD Video with 8X Digital Zoom
20 FPS
Built in Speaker and Microphone
LED light to view in color at night.

So with no SD card my old wyze cam sitting out front still works better. Maybe I'll get this and an outdoor cam for a different angle.

That's what I do. I have the Video Doorbell and then other cameras overlapping watching more area. If the video doorbell detects a person, my Alexa announces them even before they press the doorbell button, or even if they don't, and it flashes a couple of lights in the house too for a visual alert. The other cameras I use for 24/7 recording to the SD cards and to capture better angles, etc like you said. π

Are your other cameras wired or wireless? I'm looking for additional wireless cameras. Also, how do you have the lights inside flash?

I have both wired and wireless cams, but I currently primarily use the wired ones in the front of my house. Battery operated cameras tend to use PIR sensors (heat detection) to turn them on and are generally not very effective more than 30 feet away from what you want to record or have trigger an event (with some exceptions for things like HUGE vehicles with a large heat signature that might trigger it farther away). That's the biggest downside of wireless cams. They also usually only record for a few seconds and then shut off, often with a non-recording period of sometimes several minutes to protect battery life. It's a big downside. So I try to use wired cams everywhere possible so I can have constant recording, especially to an SD card. Wireless is when I am desperate as there is no reasonable way to wire a camera there even with an extension cord, etc.
For the lights to flash, I just set a rule that when the doorbell detects a person (or motion), then flash a certain smart bulb. If the Bulb is through Wyze, then the Wyze app has an option for flashing lights a certain color (3 flashes). But you can do the same through Alexa, by telling to change a light to a certain color then wait a second, then flash it another color (or turn off) then have it change back to that color again, etc. So it will turn it on and off as many times as you set it. I have a dedicated desk lamp in my office to flash different colors depending on different things (a person in front, or someone opened the gates to my pool, or other such things). Same with LED lights...I have some LED lights in different places that I will have change colors based on what's going on around the house. No audio alert needed.
I have also used Tasker on an old Android phone to watch my Wyze notifications and push a broadcast of different Text to speech messages to different Google Assistant speakers to let me know what is happening.

Great notes, can we still order few and share device via the sharing functionality?
@Careverofchoice - thats awesome. I have to look into Tasker App. But can you send notifications ONLY when doorbell is pressed and not trigger every time when motion is detected? Can IFTTT or tasker app send notifications to Google assistant as I dont have Alexa?

can this be used as a camera ie. just open up in wyze app and see what is going around the door bell.. like a stand alone camera for real time not for notification or anything?

I'd like to add to the comment "It also will only record the first 12 seconds of motion, whereas with the subscription it will record the entire time motion is detected (based on your sensitivity and detection zone settings)" the 12 seconds recording also has a 5 minutes cool down period, meaning if someone press the doorbell, it will start recording for 12 seconds; Then within the next 5 minutes, no matter how many people have passed by or how many times the button has been pressed, it will not record-- this seems to be a PITA to me.

Okay, this is very good information. Thank you so much for the details. Now if only you'd come and connect the 8 wired cameras I already have lol! No, seriously, I didn't realize they were wired and especially not how expensive it was to get them installed (don't want to risk injury or messing up wiring trying it ourselves). So the alternative is to just get some stick-up cams to go along with the wired doorbell cam.
The smart bulb stuff is easy. I think I'd just go with something realistic like an indoor light visible to outside turning on when someone approaches. And possibly also the alert style you have where one inside changes color to let me know to check the cameras. Again, thank you for the details. Still unsure where to go from here. But this $20 doorbell might be a good start if it doesn't have to hook up to existing doorbell -- will keep the one I have for that.

Yes, you can just open it up in the app and select the live view. I've had mine since May, no real complaints so far.
