Since you own these. Would you suggest to remove the first set of panels to bring the price down to $1300+ and register for the free ones? Will the fridge still be operable without the panels? What are you impressions of this model?

Really hesitant to purchase Samsung or LG. I currently have an LG and was repaired twice

I've heard nothing but horror stories from Samsung and LG owners. I'm remodeling my kitchen and need all new appliances and it sucks since they have best price/features. Need to figure them all out this weekend but nothing really stands out!

I talked to a few appliance repair people before purchasing our Bespoke french door. The Bespoke french door models use a new evaporator/condenser design (branded Metal Cooling) that seems to be much less prone to the issues that older Samsung fridges had with icing issues aka the tick of death (and therefore leaking and occasionally electrical issues). Time will tell in a few years how good this design is though. If you do have an older Samsung fridge with the Twin Cooling design, there are kits sold that can alleviate most of the issues with ice buildup, and according to the people I talked to, this is the source of nearly all issues with Samsung fridges. The current All-Around Cooling design (also used in some Bespoke fridges) seems to be very similar to the Twin Cooling design so I wouldn't be surprised if it has similar issues. However, if you buy a model with an ice maker that's not in the freezer, there's no helping you and you're just asking for trouble (this holds true for all fridge brands).

Basically what I've been told is that if Samsung didn't have condenser/evaporator issues and if LG didn't have a compressor that self-destructs after months of use, these two companies would make some of the best fridges period.

I log into my EDU account, It says I am logged in. But I dont get the additional EDU savings at checkout on this model I guess. It only gives me the black friday savings

Yes! Only get a fridge with the ice maker in the freezer. Samsung is paying out tens of millions of dollars to Samsubg owners in refund for fridges that have the freezer in the fridge compartment because the ice maker is not sufficiently insulated allowing warmer air from the fridge to infiltrate to cause a constant thaw-freeze cycle that ultimately freezes up the ice maker. Ive had the ice maker repaired twice in the last year and expect a third shortly after which Ill petition Samsung for a full refund.

I do. Both educators and first responders. I got it to work with first responders, educators account just wouldn't do it. I wish it was the counter depth instead... I can see it switch to 1500 but reverts to 1900 right after.

I was able to get it to work finally. 1390$ total, no tax in Florida currently. Add in the Rak10 and some PayPal and should be right at 1200 I'd guess

Then what would you purchase? ROFL! So many people cluelessly saying don't buy this or that brand, when the entire home appliance industry is in shambles in terms of reliability compared to the past when things were much simpler in build.
Pick any brand and there will be a proportionately high percentage of negative reviews and there will always be people who experience premature failures. Those brands that charge you an arm and a leg for much smaller and basic home appliances are no exception to this.
