I've seen multiple people wearing an Invicta in the wild. A watch snob like me, laughs at them and will not be caught dead wearing one. But, the vast majority of people will not know the difference. They are nice watches from 20 feet away. A college law student could make a much worse purchase than this like a digital Casio or Timex. I may consider getting this for my preteen son.
Comment from Table83 above may sound high and mighty but check out this review from the Amazon posting (sic)

Not now days… this may be the only watch that invicta makes worth having and with the flood of Chinese nh35a watches not as much… but for ths8 price you probably couldn't even get one of those…

I wear my to the showers all the time, even swim in the ocean with it.
I've been rocking one of these for 3 years now. I wanted to see if an automatic would hold up before I spent real money on a good watch and just stuck with wearing this. It's been running +3 seconds a day. I get the hate that invicta gets as a brand but this is a good enough watch. Not everybody has $12000 for a Rolex or wants to put on a huge rob me please target.
This isn't a bad watch for the price. NH35 is a decent workhorse movement. Get it regulated and demagnetized upon delivery. Can turn a dud into a gem. I've seen brand new movements run 20+ or 20- per day. And easily fine tune to 0 on the timegrapher. I don't really care for Invicta as a brand personally. Just commenting on the movement for the most part.
This is a fantastic entry-level watch for those who are dipping their feet in the mechanical watch space for the first time, especially at that unbeatable price point!
I have seen moved on to Orient watches (Ray II and Mako II) for my daily wears, which are much more accurate at a higher price point, but these Invicta Pro Diver workhorses will always have a special place in my heart.
