Maybe if the processor and GPU were just launched. But given that new CPUs and graphics card are only a few months away, this is a bit pricey. I feel like this should be closer to $1500.

so you are saying in 2 months, the lenovo legion 7 with 32gb ram and 4070ti and 13th gen intel will be this price? lmao.....

reality check. this is the 2022 model, which means it is current and the legion 7 is top of the line gaming laptop. you may feel it should be 1500, but it won't ever be that. i feel it should be free. cause why not. but won 't be that either.

my guess is mid next year the new model with the new CPU and the new GPU might be available for full retail, and end of the 2023, it might be around the price of this.

I didn't say next year's model would go at that price. I was saying the current model can realistically reach $1500-1600 because other competitors have been able to reach those levels. The price is just higher than expected because of chip shortages/inflation and since it's a highly rated product, Lenovo knows they can charge a premium.

Do you think the Legion 7 Gen 7 (2022) AMD version 6800H and RX 6700M is a better deal?

Not sure how much that one is but if you're wanting better battery life and strictly gaming, then AMD would be fine. I know there's a 6800H with 3070Ti for $1400.

if lenovo knows they can charge a premium, why wouldn't they? not all manufacturers are equal, some are lower priced than others.

also if this can reach $1500, then why hasn't it ever been that before? and most likely never will be that? the 5i pro with these specs, isn't even $1500...

if you just want any laptop with a 3070ti,this probably isn't for you. buyers should know that and see other models for less they can get.

It hasn't been that before mainly because of the odd higher specs of this model. Most people don't need the pricey 12800HX. The sweet spot is an Intel i7 with 3070Ti. If the AMD version can be had for $1400, there isn't any reason it's not possible for an i7/3070Ti config to go for $1500. Sure, Lenovo can try and charge a premium, but a buyer doesn't have to agree with their hard earned money. An educated buyer knows it's definitely achievable with a little patience and the right discounts.

ID.Me makes this not really slick. At least for me. This is a pretty awesome machine though.

I add the RAM to 32GB and SSD to 1TB like OP, but my price before R10 is $1923.50. Did I miss it by any chance? There is no way I can get it close to $1600, yet alone $1500

Doesn't id.me require proof such as social security card, passport, license etc?

Link to your suggested laptop and price?
You would think this is better because it would run significantly cooler than the equivalent intel + nvidia combo.

nothing you are saying really has anything to do with reality. you keep claiming this "can be" 1500, because other brands are, or AMD versions are less, or people don't need something in it, or blah blah.

reality is, amd is not intel, intel is more expensive. you don't know what all ppl need, or want. all laptops are not the same and can be had for same price.

the legion 7, is better than most gaming laptops, and its price reflects that. if you do not like its price, why are you looking at threads with the legion 7? if you want amd prices, why are you looking at intel?

if this is too much for you? why are you here again.

this can not be had for 1500, because it is not avaible and never has been available for 1500. that is all. there is no discussion.

if you don't think the legion 7 is worth more than an acer, or you don't think intel is worth more than AMD, that does not meann, that the legion 7 with intel SHOULD BE or WILL BE the same price as another brand with an AMD. it's simple. all computer threads bring out trolls. alll these trolls know all and what is best for all, but they are always wrong. nothing is best for all.

and if no one wanted or bough the legion 7, they wouldn't make it. but they do.

what they don't seem to do, is mass produce it and throw it at walmart though. so not sure if you see these on clearance ever either.

enjoy your amd, let others enjoy whatever it is they get or want.
