Dude poor Fram cannot shake its image I guess. This Fram ULTRA is universally seen as one of the best filters out there at any price. Seriously. Check bobistheoilguy.com. The cheapest Fram orange ones were dissed years ago and uninformed people just remember "Fram equal Bad" and so it continues

Yes and you should understand that the OEM blue Honda filters have been shown to be much more "basic" than these Fram Ultras. They are more in line with the cheapest filters that have cardboard endcaps etc. People often assume OEM = BEST and in this case, not true.

Hey I have bought these for years from Amazon. The Chinese are not doing counterfeit Fram oil filters for 7 dollars. This is not Airpods and Rolexes it is an oil filter

Yes and you should understand that the OEM blue Honda filters have been shown to be much more "basic" than these Fram Ultras. They are more in line with the cheapest filters that have cardboard endcaps etc. People often assume OEM = BEST and in this case, not true.

These are also the filters for virtually all 2.0L/2.5L Subaru engines made in the last 10 years.

Anyone bashing Fram Ultra filters has never actually torn one down or watched a video of the internals. They're extremely well made with the best efficiency and flow characteristics at this price point.

Which model and engine? Do you have VCM? Are you having fuel dilution issues? Highway miles or local stop/go miles? There are some variables in when you should change your oil. However, 20K is too much for me as well. I have a Honda CRV and a Toyota Avalon, I try to change the oil every 5-7000 miles using Mobil 1 synthetic. Tried to go longer on the Avalon (7000 miles) wasn't happy with the results.
As Hogan773 posted, go to bobistheoilguy.com and search their forums for more oil info. Also search some of the Honda forums. Good luck!

Sorry but this is insane. Please ed-ji-cate yerself before you post foolishness. Read about the Magnuson Moss Act. Understand that using a non-OEM part is not grounds for warranty denial. And this part is BETTER than the blue Honda ones anyway.

Fram Ultra is generally considered as one of the best oil filters made. The only ones that had bad reputation was the Orange Can of Death but even then, it was vastly overhyped as an issue.

I mean you made the case against yourself already, it's $7 and it takes almost no additional effort, so why not? Also there is always tons of dirty oil trapped in the filter. Even if the oil filter holds up to 15K, I have definitely seen the gasket get nasty after not changing it for a while on cars that don't get tons of miles. Also if you respond to me I am also going to put my fingers in my ears and all I will hear is Honda owners manual bladdity blah blah as well.

Guys you aren't getting it. The OIL FILTER can go 20,000 is what it's saying. Nobody is saying to run your oil to 20,000
