also no safety bars that catch the barbell if it falls.

I wouldn't get one without a solid upright. Check out Fringe and Titan for affordable new ones, even the hulkfit/balancefrom on Amazon or local craigslist.people selling right now and going back to real gyms.

I bought this model FM-905Q, which is rated for 500 pounds when it went on sale. Amazon shipped the fm-cs7000f model which is rated for 300 pounds. They seem to look exactly the same. I'm going to return mine and hopefully get the right one.

I own this. It's worth noting that the hole sizing is non-standard so any accessories you get for this has to be made specifically for this. You cannot use accessories from other racks.

Also, the J-hooks are entirely made of metal with no protection for the bar (if you have a nice one). I added some foam to help stop metal on metal but it only works well enough. Finding the J-hooks to buy separately to have as another set is also nearly impossible.

Overall, I got mine for free, but I'd probably look into a different rack.

I was under the impression that the FM-CS7000F [capbarbell.com] model was only for the black color and the FM-905Q [capbarbell.com] model was for the color versions (as can be seen in the links), but in the two owner's manuals, it says:
FM-CS7000F [capbarbell.com] has a Maximum Weight of 300 lbs
And
FM-905Q [capbarbell.com] has a Maximum Weight of 500 lbs.
