Anyone know the dimensions of this charger? Amazon says 5.2 x 4.1 x 1.1 inches which doesn't seem right. Also for $5 more you can get it with a USB cable, but I don't see the length listed.

Are you kidding me "21% smaller than most stock 20-watt chargers"? This looks huge

Neat that it's slim, which may make it more pocketable than AC adapters that are smaller by volume, but are more cube-like and are not slim.

Too bad it's not 30W. Also, it's showing 15.99 now, which is less of a deal.

At that point, I'd rather get the Anker 30w nano, which, despite the cube-like shape, is worth it for the +10W bump for the same price.

Belkin's design is like 2 gen behind Anker. They should cut this in half.

I'd take the Belkin design over Anker, and Belkin is better quality though usually expensive.

Honest question: I've spent so many hours this weekend looking for wall chargers, portable chargers and cables. There are hundreds of brands on Amazon. I don't want to trust the no name brands but how do I figure out what brands are good?
I found that Digmodo says: "We suggest purchasing car and wall chargers from the manufacturers of the original devices, or other major corporations such as Vinsic, Belkin, Powergen, RAVPower, and Anker."

Never heard of Vinsic or Powergen. I've bought a few Anker items and I know Belkin. But how do we figure out which brands actually are quality? I don't want to set the home on fire and I don't want something that might break while traveling. (Though, I do know even going with the best brands provides no guarantee.)

Personally, I would stick with oems like Samsung or Apple first if you can, but with so many fakes out there just make sure you buy from a reputable source. Then next would be an American brand, yes I know they're made in China, but the development and QC should be more reputable. Last would be the Chinese big brands like Anker, they're generally OK. I would not get a Chinese no name brand.

I have all kinds of brand name Chinese, no name Chinese, Samsung, Motorola, etc. There is always a greater risk of failure with the generic ones, but honestly I've never noticed a difference between even official Samsung and generic Chinese ones. As long as you buy a good one, I think it makes much more sense to get a generic one for half the price for chargers. Most of them come from the same factories anyways, just rebranded.

The way you can tell which is good, is look at the reviews and information provided on the site. If they have very detailed information, such as all the wattage and voltage for different scenarios, you should be good. Even if you have a 50% failure rate, you're still ahead of those "only buy brand" people. I've had hundreds of devices and never had any fail because of a Chinese charger

Design fail, too large, what is the point of getting a GaN charger.
