I usually wear 10.5 size shoes but after testing 10.5, 11, and 11.5 I got my Keen Targhee II hiking boots at 11.5 wide and have been very happy with those for about a year.
Just figured I'd mention in case some of you guys can find a wide boot on sale that is a size up or something - might be worth trying.

I asked keen for their most durable shoe and they pointed me to Cincinnati shoe. After wearing it a few months, I can't feel my big toe anymore, but I didn't have the money to buy more shoes having spent 200 on them... I should go back to the king toe at redwing....

other than that, the rubber layer on bottom is coming off the foam layer of sole but the shoes are still holding up fine so far. some shoe goo on the front slowed it's seperating. the shoe is otherwise comfortable.

all steel toe defaults are just barely sized enough, I had to move up a size to be more comfortable.

I have these shoes, they are awesome for casual work. I use them in datacenters where i might be unloading or racking something, but still want comfy/presentable shoes.

Nice deal on a great boot. I've been wearing the low, non-waterproof version for the last year and a half at work. First pair lasted a whole year and were still comfortable and in one piece when I replaced them. I appreciate the roomy toe area that Keens usually offer, and the slip-resistance rating is something you don't always find (CAT and Wolverine usually have it, Merrell and Columbia do not, for reference). Just bought a pair of Merrell Moab 2 waterproof for winter work, and they're nice, but the Keen Flints are still my go-to. I'll probably look for another pair next year when I wear the tread off the current pair. Pretty sure I paid $100+ both times, and I'm not mad.

Oh, and I don't "casual" work. I'm in retail direct-to-store distribution/sales, so in addition to handling the academic components of my business, I also walk a lot, load/unload a box truck, and move product into and out of stores. It's a mix of things but relatively physical. People in this sort of industry tend to wear hiking and work boots, and I see a lot of Keen and Merrell, as well various other brands you might expect. These are comfortable enough that I often don't switch to other after work because my feet and back don't hurt. Not sure if the waterproof ones will make your feet sweat more, but mine are great.
