Having viewed both, I personally can't tell the difference between this and a LG C1 OLED. No idea what makes this panel worth $800 more than a C1.

You can get c1 77 for this price
I don't have good experience with LG tv's
I prefer mostly Samsung then Sony

What a deal. Just bought one, thanks for the heads up.

Went to BB today as I was considering this or the Samsung s95b and ultimately landed on this one. The colors looked more accurate while the samsung appeared to be overturned or overly saturated. The stranger things demo video looked a bit off with faces having an orange tint over their face.

Majority of what makes OLED tvs so great is how the pixels are lit up. In Led tvs, they're either lit in zones (multiple pixels lit by one light source) or backlit where I think there's one giant light source for everything. Oled panels are lit up individually for each pixel. This and the s95b use new panels that are better than the previous generation panels.

Having each pixel individually lit provides more color representation that's more accurate and less washed out.

If comparing to the A80K which Costco has for the same price but in the larger 77" size.

The Sony A95K OLED is a much better TV than the Sony A80K OLED. The A95K uses QD-OLED technology, which is a type of OLED that allows it to display more colors and get brighter than traditional OLEDs like the A80K, so it's much better for watching HDR content. However, the A80K performs better in well-lit rooms because the black levels raise on the A95K when there's any ambient light, so you don't get the same perfect black levels that OLEDs are known for.

me too went to best buy ready to buy the 95b till the salesman showed me this told him i would be back tomorrow then this showed up in my email so i jumped on it
