$1498 + free s/h (in cart)

This thing was backordered for at least a year. It's a nice system, especially for odd-shaped rooms. Not cheap, obviously, but I heard it recently and it's pretty damn nice. It's also integrates into your wifi, sop you can play music through foobar from laptop...which I always enjoy

This is a 4 channel system. Sony has a confusing model numbering where a 7 channel version also has the same model number, obviously at a higher price. Walmart price for this system is 1798.

I sidelined this and the A95k because of the Sony tax. Went with the Samsung S95B and Q990B haven't looked back since. Amazing TV and sound bar for a huge fraction of the cost of the Sony. Samsung's Black Friday Deal plus EPP. I paid I few bucks more than this Sony set up for my 65in and soundbar.

That's what I said about the Samsung TV when I bought mine. Now that I have compared the same exact video content with my Sony TV, the Sony handles everything much better even though I got the Samsung at a much cheaper price. Both are upper QLED tier. I also have the Q950T and the Atmos effect is just so so. To me, if the HT-A9 claims are true from what I have heard, the narrow price difference now will be worth it over the years.

Can you share some details on the comparison of the Sony and Samsung TV's and model #s. I'm very interested.

Samsung Q8FN vs Sony X900F. I have both 65" and 75". Good example will be a 1080P or 4k YT Aquaman trench scene. Watch the section whey dove deep towards the trench and went through underground cave for color posterization and black crush. The smaller 65" Samsung just isn't as clean/clear or natural looking as the Sony when there's so many things going on in the fight scene. Motion smoothness is close but the processing isn't as good as the Sony chip. Now I don't know about their current S95B QDOLED but the processing chip still comes into play. The question is will it be a $1,000 difference for the same sized TV, up to you to decide but once price starts dropping, it's a different ball game. I have access to EPP pricing for Samsung so thats how they got me to buy their electronics at a much cheaper price but im not brand loyal.

If were not talking s95b vs a95k direct comparisons. We are having 2 different conversations.

In that case, plenty of YT videos comparing the two. The 65" S95B was as low as $1640 with EPP a few months back but I wasn't interested in anything smaller than 65". If price difference gets within the $500 difference range, I would personally get the A95K.
