Have heard of general reliability issues on PS5 and xbox series controllers, particularly with analog stick drift. A shame because that has never been an issue for either camp.
Any idea if Razer has a shot at being the more reliable controller brand here?

I have Razer Kishi and Raiju controllers. Particularly with the Raiju, build quality is really solid and it's a stout controller. Buttons have a different kind of click to them - less mushy, more tactile. And the triggers have adjustability for short and long trigger pull. Not sure if these things apply to this particular controller, but I've been very happy with Razer's build quality.

Razer? Reliable? Come on, man. Don't get your hopes up. Their brand isn't known for their reliability. All their stuff is fun to use, though. It'll probably be fine if you take care of it.

If you want sticks that don't drift, get a Gulikit or 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth. They use hall effect sticks that don't wear out. But even those 2 pads have their own issues.

At least with the Xbox core and PS5 controllers, parts are readily available if you like to tinker.

Personally I prefer the extra bumpers as opposed to paddles. I'm way less likely to accidentally press these.

My wife got me this for Christmas last year and I hate it. It's too wide and awkward to use. It hurts the hands. Still have it in the box collecting dust.

I have both (Xbox series x controller and razer here) and I noticed a slight decrease in "feel" quality when switching to the Xbox. I haven't gotten drift yet, but the Xbox analog sticks feel less "structured" if that makes sense, like it could be pulled vertically up or to the side easier with no resistance.

Both feel good and better than Xbox 360 (or other related older design) gamepad. But the fact I still use the razer, despite preferring wireless, is a testament to its build. I haven't tried other third party gamepads so I can't comment if razer is better or worse than them, or it's worth the higher price.

Deal is gone, sadly. The white one is still available for $59.99, though.
