12th and 13th gen support either DDR4 or DDR5 depending on the motherboard, so in this case Acer chose to make a laptop board that supports DDR4. LPDDR_ is just laptop memory/SODIMM. LPDDR_X is soldered laptop memory.

This laptop can do LPDDR4 3200, potentially faster speeds but youd need to check with other buyers.

Turn off the keyboard backlight:
Hold the Fn key, and press the F9 key four times to turn the backlight off. Your keyboard backlight should dim each time you press the F9 key while holding FN.

Why would this be limited to DDR4 memory? Considering it has a 12th Gen Intel Processor, it should be capable of:

"Up to DDR5 4800 MT/s
Up to DDR4 3200 MT/s
Up to LPDDR5 5200 MT/s
Up to LPDDR4x 4267 MT/s"

Likely due to limitations of motherboard. The DDR4 information is through Acer.

How does this compare to the similar, but seemingly upgraded i7-11800h model?

Considered that one but for almost $100 more, this one is a better processor (12th gen i5 is bears the 11th gen i7 in almost every benchmark). The i7 has a slightly better gpu and higher ram, but lots of people may end up upgrading ram. I am not 100% sure if the i7 has thunderbolt, but I will be using an eGPU so it matters to some.

Don't think you can go wrong with either!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, just needed another opinion.
