You're comparing apples to oranges. The Phillips is a superautomatic (push button, drink). The barista pro is very much a more manual experience that requires some knowledge of espresso brewing as well as more time to actually do the work.
Depends on your preferences. I have the Breville Barista Pro and love it. I got the Phillips for my sister and she loves it. They are very different machines. I've spent time with both and if you are a little more particular about your espresso, the Breville is a better choice because you can customize a lot of what you do and come up with a better tasting espresso from the same beans. The Philips is great if you don't want to spend a lot of time making your drink. The espresso is still good, just not as good as the Breville.

It took a bit of research on my end to understand the differences between pressurized and nonpressurized filter baskets. Once I understood the difference, it helps you understand why I prefer the Breville and why it has the capability to make better espresso.

Just an okay price - bbb will drop these to 699.99 every now and then and you can use a 20% coupon (I bought one in January)

Their coupons specifically exclude breville. How did you get that to work?

On the espresso reddit, a post mentioned the 25% coupons supposedly worked in store on the bambino but the BBB near me didn't have any in stock to try to score one. I need to check another one.

For a minute there, the coupon did not exclude BBB gift cards. So, some would buy the GC, then use the GC to purchase...
A few weeks back, I couldn't get that to work...not sure if BBB still allows it or not. 🤷
