Great deal! I have this lock for over an year and works great. Opens in an instant with fingerprint unlike my previous august lock where I had to wait until the Bluetooth connection is established.
It's interesting how LPL literally reviewed this lock few days ago, and now it's on sale.

I haven't had such luck. I have both the key pad version and the fingerprint with keypad. I found the finger print to be very unreliable. both my wife and have to scan multiple times. in many cases it takes 4-5 fingerprint tries to get it to unlock. I found myself using the keypad rather then the fingerprint scanner as it ends up taking longer with so many misreads.

I've re-registered my fingers many times, tried different fingers, always the same very inconstant results for both my wife and I. We do have the z-wave version which I doubt has a different scanner in it.

I do like the overall look and functionality of the base keypad lock and would buy it again. I'd avoid the extra expense of the fingerprint reader as it's just too low quality. We have the z-wave (not part of this sale).

So what does the review say. Is this lock SAFE or NOT SAFE ?
Good bump resistance due to the hole for pin 3 being shallower than the rest. No other counter measures. Wasn't impressed with picking difficulty.

I have 2 of these and bought 2 for family. I use the auto-unlock feature (via bluetooth detection) when I come near to the door and then it's set to auto-lock after 2 mins. Makes me rarely need to use the fingerprint.

They are absolutely great. The touchpad feels durable and is easy to use. You can set guest codes, etc. With the optional wifi bridge they can be also controlled via Alexa but only to lock, not unlock.

With the convenient bluetooth auto unlock or the simple touch pad, if you are trying to save a few bucks the fingerprint option isn't really necessary.

I've had this lock for about two years now and love it. It's really great with younger children since they don't have to worry about having keys to enter the house. I have it programmed to auto-lock the door after a specific time so I don't have to worry about the kids forgetting to lock the door when they get home.

I've had some issues with the fingerprint scanner reading my fingerprints (needing to scan it a few times) but the rest of my family have not had any issues with it at all. I've had to "restart" the unit by disconnecting and reconnecting the cable about 3 times a year because the lock would just not work. At first I thought the batteries were dead but later found out that by disconnecting and reconnecting the cable would solve my problem. Their latest firmware update seems to have fixed that issue but the latest update removed some features that I really liked. When you lock the door as you're leaving the house, simply pressing the Ultraloq logo will lock the door. Before, a green light would illuminate to let you know that the door has been successfully locked, the latest firmware removes that green light confirmation. That was annoying because I always told my kids to watch for the green light when they leave the house and lock the door. They also removed the green light when your fingerprint has been successfully scanned and the door unlocks. Now you just have to wait and listen for the locking mechanism to unlock the door.

I also like that I can create temporary accounts for when my neighbor comes over to water plants when we're away from home.

I've never really had issues with the fingerprint scanner unless it's been a windy/dusty day and the scanner is dirty. I just wipe first and then try my fingerprint and it works flawlessly 99% of the time.

Best smart lock I've found by far

How's the battery life? Reviews claim battery runs out monthly. And it only takes alkaline battery. Rechargeable doesn't work.

I have 3 of these and all work great and I would highly recommend!! The only thing I noticed is the fingerprint sensor becomes unreliable and the lock starts to malfunction when the battery gets low even if the battery still works, but once I replace the batteries it works perfectly! And the WiFi feature and guest codes work well. And most locks can easily be picked if someone really tries to so I'm not too worried about that.

Edited to answer above question: The battery life is great and I use the fingerprint sensor multiple times a day. I would say it needs new batteries yearly.
