Any reviews on anyone that owns this? How is this better than the other jack stand deal?

I bought this several days ago after finding it through a google search. Combined with the $5 welcome coupon and a cheap pickup filler, which made the total around $21.

This one seems to be in pretty much every store:

In terms of quality, it looks good. I think I'd have rather had the redesigned Daytona jacks for $32, but price considerations... Overall a MUCH better deal vs the Torin Big Red version with locking pin for $31.

I had this and at this price it was worth it to me. I liked the backup locking pin and the welds and design looked very reassuring. I'm not a huge fan of the angle on the pawl that supports the weightload or using these bottomed out (always at least on the first tooth) but this saddle design secures my truck better than others'.

Anyway my neighbor stole them along with some of my other tools (moved out overnight after I helped him replace a starter and loaned him some tools--apparently he was only renting the next house over). So I replaced them with Advance Auto's TEQ Correct [advanceautoparts.com]4 Ton hydraulic self-lifting jackstands which feel very premium and have nice foot plates welded to the bottom for even MORE reassurance AND were rated to hold the weight individually (not only as a pair). Other than transport, I do not know what the round pin on these TEQ Corrects is for--it does not seem to be load bearing making them not double locking like the Strongways. The self lifting is a bit gimmicky but very neat.

Anything else worth checking out when I go pick these up?

Do yourself a favor and invest in 4 Ton jack stands. Best thing I ever bought. They're 10x more sturdy then these 3 ton jacks and 100x's more sturdy then the 2 ton ones, plus they go higher.. you won't regret it if you work on your own car.

Higher is good if you've got an SUV or truck. 4/6 ton jacks may not be an option for cars that sit closer to the ground.

Yeah, I don't want anything above 3 for my hatchback. 2 ton jacks would be fine for my car.
