Be aware of the horrible issue with trigger getting stuck on Dyson cordless vacuums. You can Google to see how widespread this issue is. This is the reason why they moved away from a trigger to on/off switch from V12 slim onwards.

The trigger on my V11 TD, even with spartan use, started getting stuck just after the warranty expired. The only option Dyson gave me was to buy the complete vacuum head assembly minus the battery for $99. And FYI changing batteries on V11 is not a simple snap off/on thing. It takes about a dozen steps and some not so common screw driver size.
I ended up buying a replacement trigger on Ebay for about $10 since the steps were almost the same as changing the battery.
Dam it! I just bought this from Dyson's eBay store yesterday for 329.99. Well I guess the added 2 year refurbished warranty ebay adds to the purchase is worth the extra $20.

Got it for the same price. But be aware that you only get 6 months warranty even though the dyson site leads you to believe that you can purchase extended warranty.

There are also adapter kits to use your power tool batteries instead for battery replacement. Therefore the battery health is taken away from being internal on the unit and you can have extended use with multiple or larger capacity batteries.

You can return it anytime it gives you trouble. That's worth the extra $ in my opinion.

Depends on the model. I purchased a v11 from a refurbished deal and got the SV14, which is not click replace. It's held in by a screw. The v11 SV15 has the click replace battery. No way of knowing which one you'll get in a refurb deal

Also… Costco's has the newer (better) de-tangling power head and screw drive mini tool that come with the v15 as opposed to the older ones. (Not to mention the low reach adapter.)

Neither comes with a hard floor fluffy head.

Yes I'm aware that they updated V11 models later to make battery replacement easier but even those have the same trigger issue and replacing it isn't any easier on these newer V11s

In my opinion, and as someone who owns a D8 and Animal 2, a stick vacuum from Dyson is only really worth it for the fluffy head (assuming you have hardwood floors or tile). This one is a great deal if you don't have hard floors; but if you do, I'd personally look to the V10 from the previous front page deal for $400 (new).

Alternatively, if you have a mix of hard floors and carpets, and don't want to spend quite as much for arguably a better vacuum overall anyway, you can snag the Shark Stratos from BB&B today for about $300 as well using BB&B coupons. It's actually more expensive than a new V10 MSRP, but you can actually use all the BB&B coupons on the Shark, taking it down up to 30%. This vacuum took first place in Vacuum Wars best of 2022.
