This isn't a bad deal, but IMO if you need the space this is a much better deal for a 1TB MBA, still with 16GB memory.

Agreed but 512gb for $1k or sub would work better for most

Totally agree, 512gb is the sweet spot. But for people that need more storage, $250 for 4x the storage is a decent deal considering what apple charges for upgrades. If you don't need the storage though, this is a great buy and will still have extended longevity with the 16gb of unified memory

Nice, I paid $950 for the 8/8/512 model. I like having the extra storage but this is a solid deal. Considering production has stopped for any custom M1.
