Talking myself not to spend anymore money after buying unnecessary 6 pairs of new shoes and unnecessary new iPad Pro. Now I want this unnecessary drone. I need to stop keep opening slickdeal. Lol

Probably too much for a 8 year old. These are made to go far and one wrong move and you just lost $380. For a younger kid I would suggest a $100 or less drone

Similar price at Sams Club with extra battery, charging hub and spare propellers but no 32 GB micro SD card or bag.

Anyone have any thoughts on cost value analysis of this vs the mini 3 pro? I had my heart set on the mini 3 pro, because of avoidance, and the camera, then I found the Autel Nano Plus which has an even better camera, is a few hundred cheaper than mini 3 pro, but lots of complaints about no active track yet (for the price) and struggling in the wind.

For $380, this seems like a steal for a drone with a good (not great camera), not avoidance or active track, but not the end of the world.
To each their own. I am in the same bucket as you. I was hoping to see a good Mini 3 Pro deal this weekend. You know how that went. Sigh!

I am willing to spend extra for the pro remote. It is a PITA to plug the phone into the controller. I do it often enough that it becomes tiresome. With the pro remote, I don't have to worrty about phone battery/app crashing. My mini (the first version) recently crashed into the river after hitting a rock. So, I am willing to spend a little bit extra for obstacle avoidance and active tracking.

Oh good now I know where to hide my cocaine when I go on a cruise. Unseriously, what would you have done if they caught you? Make you go back to the car?
Apparently some cruise lines had issues with people flying the drones off the ships themselves. And some cruise lines, like Norwegian, put a blanket ban on them. But there was no way I was going to go to a place like Bermuda and not bring my drone.

I just had it in my carry on that they security scan when you come back on the ship. Folded up and in the bag it just looks like photography equipment. And any time I flew the drone I did it well away from the ship. Had no issues.

Supposedly, according to a forum, if they do confiscate something from you they return it to you at the end of the cruise.

Actually, that Ebay deal (though manufacturer refurbished) looks like the best of all the deals. Not only does it come with 4 batteries, but also a 2 year SquareTrade warranty, where they will replace or refund if you break it.

If I didn't already buy the one from Costco, I would have jumped on that one.

Went on amazon and found a good 2 battery charging hub for 16 dollars vs the DJI.

Would suggest just buying this and making ur own fly more combo!

In4One. Thanks op.

Did a lot of research and buying this for a close friend on his birthday but definitely need that return policy!

Also after buying this I did need to buy a $15 charger, a usb c cable, and some protective gear. (links for reference, no idea if they're the best in class, etc.)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089GSHH94/
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097GVXNS6/

Anywho for the money this is likely close to if not best in price range class for drones. Don't bother with the "cheaper" deals on amazon if you are going to spend at least $199 on a drone gift for an adult.
Did you buy this from Costco? If so, what all did it come with? And are you saying you had to buy the remote to phone cable because it was missing from the package?

Edit: Actually, YouTube is pretty helpful. This is the whole package: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVTIs81lvMs

Thanks to all who replied. I'm based in Canada and was able to grab a DJI Mini 2 Fly More for $375 CAD all-in! That translates to under $300 USD. Quite a steal, one of our retailers was clearing out stock at 50% off.

Hate to throw a wrench into the machine but I just snagged from *B&H* the DJI Mini 2 fly more combo + $20 e-gift card + $30 discount making it $479.99+ tax (or no tax depending)

Now, without taxation, I feel this is still the premier deal (even over $380 Costco) for you still have to purchase:

$55 battery, $39 hub, $12 props + tax on these items.

Now the sweetener. I'm going to get my $20 e-gift card here soon and use it towards the 256gb card at $24.99 (net of $4.99 after GC) which easily eclipses the 32gb that is free from Costco. (8x the size?)

All in all, just my 2 cents, I love hunting the best deal like you all do.

Just seeing if this could help anyone.

If you plan on buying the props, charger, and extra battery the flymore bundle from B&H is a slightly better deal. It's currently $479 after $30 off $509:

plus 20 gift card and no sales tax, made BH better buy for me.

8 year old wants a drone for Christmas. Is this it ?
I've had the Mini 2 for over a year and love it. I also have an older Phantom and an Air2S.
Unless it won't bother you potentially having $380 destroyed, I'd say it's too much for an 8 year old. You might try looking at EXO, they recently released a model called the Recon that's under $100. I've never flown any of their drones, but they have a pretty good reputation for giving great support from what I've seen.

How is this even a cyber Monday deal. They had a $100 off on this back in May I think.
Yes, you had to use your Costco Visa though and the $100 was a Costco Shop Card.

The Costco deal does come with spare props and the screws/screwdriver plus the memory card. So you paid $100 more for a $20 gift card, an extra battery, the 3-battery charger, and no memory card. I'm saying the value is about the same (considering what these extras cost), but I will MUCH prefer the Costco return policy for 90 days.

On the other hand, the Ebay deal from DJI's own refurbs, the Fly More Combo with an extra battery (total of 4), plus a 2-year SquareTrade Warranty also looks pretty tempting. Possibly the best of the bunch if you trust DJI to send "new quality" refurbs.
