This one is tempting me again because of the build quality, lighted keyboard, USI pen and the 1080 screen. 4/32 is just fine for my uses. I've been reading that some users complain about freeze ups.

I picked one up. I was tempted during past sales when it hit this price point but the stars aligned today to make me hit buy. I'm looking at mainly YouTube, YouTube TV, and light web browsing.

This laptop is gorgeous but awful. Super slow. Can't even listen to music on YouTube and browse. The pen is useless when takes almost 5 sec to register what you wrote.

Yes. They just don't always function the way you expect because of screen sizing and some apps actually block chromebooks so not everything is available.

I wonder why users are getting slow performance from an AMD Athlon chip ? My Chromebox is running a 2019 Celeron and is speedy.

I kept seeing people complaining about the performance while others are fine with it in the previous threads. I've heard that AMD mobile processors throttle the speed by 40% when on battery. Perhaps those who didn't complain use it when plugged in. Have you tried plugging it in?

Have only used mine while "not" connected to an outlet so running off the battery and performance has been great. As I have mentioned in other threads, I have played xplay with a controller, used google sheets for data work, run multiple tabs while live streaming sports all without any slowdowns. The one thing however that does not work well on this chromebook compared to my other ones are android apps. Android apps definitely slow this thing down and cause the "freezes" I have seen described.

TLDR is if you plan to use this as an internet machine it will work great with no issues. If you want to run android apps on this you will not be happy.

This is a great citrix device. I connect to work via citrix and speed, stability, and battery life are fine and with top notch thinkpad input devices.
