This 40 concurrent users is BS to me. This shouldn't be a thing!

Concurrent users... not connected devices. Most of us don't have 40 users at the same exact time on our home networks. A printer or a lightbulb wouldn't count as a "user"

I found an old discussion: https://www.reddit.com/r/orbi/com...ce_limits/

How about sxk50? Is that one much more reasonable in terms of performance?

I bought it through Amazon during Thanksgiving. Despite the complicated setup, I'm getting incredible speeds and good coverage. My setup is through Ethernet backhaul. I read that Wireless backhaul speeds are very low. So, this might work well only if you have hardwiring at your home.

if you connect the satellite by ethernet, it won't be a problem. But using it as a wifi mesh w/o ethernet, then it's a different story.

That is 100% true...wireless backhaul is slow. the satellite is less than 15 ft away from the router but speeds only max out at 85mbps while the router's wifi speed is 750mbps.

Got the same but havent set up yet. So the best way to do this is to connect the router to the modem with an Ethernet and then connect the satellite to the router with and Ethernet too?

My plan was to bring the satellite downstairs and connect that to the router wirelessly and then connect a desktop through Ethernet. But sounds like the other way will provide a much stronger signal

Yes. That's correct. That's the exact setup I did.

I bought the three pack deal version of this, but so far seems to be working fantastic. I was able to hardwire both satellites which gives max performance on this Netgear dual band mesh system. One of the satellites is even wired via MoCa adapters.

Here was the review that strongly encouraged hardwiring the satellites:

In terms of performance, a wired SXK30 will deliver the same if not better performance than the SXK80. In a wireless setup, though, the former will have just half the bandwidth.

I bought the 3 pack deal also from amazon but planning on returning. It seems to be very slow speeds on wireless compared to say a similar price TP Link. For the price if you get a deal, it seems ok. I read the Dong Knows review which is great and it compares to much higher wifi 6 mesh systems.

Why are they combining "pro" and "mini"?! Do they average out making it "standard" or something?

Same result for me with wired back haul on both satellites.

Finally got rid of the Att Fiber Router. The Wi-Fi is junk and unreliable.
