I don't think I've never heard of wavlink before but now in scrolling through similar products on Amazon I'm seeing a lot of their products (as sponsored results).
Are they some reputable brand I'm supposed to know and have I just missed them before now somehow..?
Maybe one shouldn't expect more than this but it's interesting to see their choice of having DVI port vs. a Display Port. Are people still using DVI that commonly that a docking station of late 2022 would still carry this port vs. DP?

This is likely why it's on sale… still could be useful for many whether they use DVI or not

Yes, I personally detected a WAVLINK router that was on a business network trying to join a Chinese botnet and confirmed this through a firewall and a Threatblkr device which fortunately blocked it.
This came installed FROM THE FACTORY in this way. FROM THE FACTORY. They manufacture cyberwarfare devices and sell them to consumers in the west.
I can't express how opposed I am to this company continuing to sell products to unwitting consumers. They were exposed years ago for doing this and as far as I know, still do. I would never buy any of their products. Notice this has a LAN port. I definitely would NOT trust this one tiny freaking bit. Here is one article on it. https://cybernews.com/security/wa...l-devices/
Please, take this and all other WAVLINK devices out of slickdeals forever. It's not a deal if your computer or network is compromised.
Thanks! I will never purchase their products. I do have an SSD enclosure from them, which is probably safe enough.

I have their dual 4k/60hz (+ butt load of usb ports and mem card slots) docking station that has been working flawlessly. It has never been turned off since March 16, 2020, the day I started WTH 😁
