My somewhat informed and fairly well-researched advice - spend the extra $50 and go for the 12" linked here: https://www.parts-express.com/Day...quantity=1

Thank me later. It's a great budget sub that gives you a lot of bang for the buck.
Parts Express is the go to store for DIY audio, so yes, very reputable.
They are pretty good. One of the very reputable sellers.

I bought this same exact sub from them a couple of years ago and had no issue.

For the price, this sub is great. I have them paired to some Micca bookshelf speakers for my computer setup. Nothing audiophile grade, but a good budget setup.

They are good...I am fortunate to live a few miles from the store and can go every once in a while, they are helpful in person too.

Good deal! I got this subwoofer for my mother a few months ago and it was so much better than my andrew jones pioneer that i decided to replace mine too

You only need 12" if room is bigger than ~12x12', otherwise 10" will be plenty loud

What does your setup look like? I either get too much bass or not enough when gaming.

Has a loud pop when unplugged from an on state. I wanted to turn it off using a smart outlet.

Decided $20/year for leaving it constantly on is better than the popping noise.

I just have the sub to the left of me towards the corner of my office. I couldn't do a proper sub crawl since that was the only location I had room for. You may need to mess with the crossover point and your phase to get the sound to your liking.

Yeah all the powered subs are kinda like that. Just deal with the vampire energy usage like all the other stuff in the house.

I've heard good things about these and also as a sub replacement for Klipsch bookshelf / Promedia speakers. Sadly no amp for the satellites so will still need one

The sub turns off if there isn't a low signal sent to it. It's not going to cost you $20 a year to keep it plugged in.
